On November 6th 1908 a small group of twenty women, ambitious to be helpful in the civic and cultural life of their community, organized the Woman's Club of Redondo Beach. An agenda was adopted to support local charities, provide social services through volunteerism, promote cultural and civic advancement as well as hosting social events.
The club was accepted into the General Federation of Women's Clubs in 1910, Incorporated November 7, 1915 under the state laws of California, The California Federation of Women's Clubs.
Construction of our Clubhouse began on May 6, 1922 at 400 South Broadway, Redondo Beach. In October 1922 the construction was completed and we held our first official meeting.
The Woman's Club of Redondo Beach continues to meet in the original Clubhouse the third Monday of each month September to May to socialize, share a meal, plan events and have fun!
